training

this morning we went to Bible Study. key points for me were making purposeful family time and being more cautious of what i do and say and leading by example more than teaching.

poor girls were so tired they fell asleep on the way home.

got some laundry and cleaning done, scheduled swimming lessons for isabelle.

hung out with our friends for a little bit. close friends are such a blessing and i'm so thankful that God provided us with such wonderful friends so quickly since moving here.

now the girls are watching curious george waiting for daddy to come home and soon i need to start dinner- fish, couscous, and broccoli or maybe salad.

1 Timothy 4:7- "train yourself to be godly."

for awhile i think that i quit training thinking that maybe God would do it for me. thankfully, i finally figured out that i needed to really work on my relationship with God and in order to be who God wants me to be and to make the changes i wanted to make i needed to train. i needed to make God #1, spend time in His Word daily, be prayerful always, and allow God to change me. just like any athlete does, i have to train daily doing these things. not just to be godly but i also need to be training in my marriage and as a mom.

i can't just think that things will grow and get better with time in all my relationships. i need to continually be working on growing them by first and foremost training to be godly.
